Name: Tanya Hays. Age: 53 and proud of it! I live in Bon Aqua, Tennessee which is a VERY small town about 40 miles west of Nashville. I work for Ford Motor Company and have done so for the past seven years. In that time I have been a collector(the the one you don't want to hear from when the car payment is late!), a customer service representative, and a credit investigator. I've been transferred around a lot, and they currently have me working in the mailroom, and I like it the best of any position I have had so far. It's a lot of work, but it's a very enjoyable job, and anyone who tells you that a mailroom clerk's job is not important should work with me for a day! I love classic movies, and music. Some of my other favorite artists are Paul McCartney, Sting, and Annie Lennox, just to name a few. Actually it would take less time to name the ones I don't like! I've been a fan of Neil since the age of ten. I first heard of him when the Monkees had the hit with ''I'm A Believer''. In fact, that was when I first learned about the role of the songwriter in popular music. I guess up to then I just assumed that whoever performed the song also created it(I was just a dumb kid...what did I know?). Then I started hearing absolute raves about the man who had written the song. I bought one album, and was hooked for life! Most of my favorite singers are the ones who write their own music, because I think that is an amazing gift. I have always said that songwriters are the real ''magicians'' of the world. I was blessed with the ability to sing, but not to actually create the music, and I am awed by people who can do that. And of course Neil is one of the best! I hope someday to be able to thank him in person for the joy his music has brought to my life.
